01

Supported configuration

  • Dot for iPhone 1.0.0 or later from its separate iOS listing.
  • iPhone running iOS 26 or later in portrait orientation.
  • No account, subscription, Mac companion, or network is required.
  • The optional assistant requires an iPhone and system configuration on which Apple’s on-device Foundation Model is available.

Dot for iPhone and Dot Founders Edition for Mac are separate purchases. This first iPhone version does not pair or sync with the Mac app.

02

Organizer recovery

If Dot cannot open its encrypted organizer, confirm that the iPhone has been unlocked since startup, reopen Dot, and check Settings → Local health. Strict Privacy mode keeps the database unavailable while the iPhone is locked.

LocalGhost Consulting has no server copy and cannot recover a device key, private organizer, or lost backup recovery key.

03

Reminders and notifications

If a reminder does not appear, open iOS Settings and check Dot’s notification permission, then review Settings → Notification privacy in Dot. The reminder remains saved in Dot even if iOS denies or delays its notification.

Dot is for everyday planning, not medical, emergency, security, or other safety-critical reminders. Use an appropriate independent system for consequential alerts.

04

Optional on-device assistant

If the assistant is unavailable, check Settings → On-device assistant. Tasks, schedules, reminders, routines, planning, focus tools, backup, and recovery do not depend on the model and remain usable.

Dot for iPhone has no hosted-model fallback. Review AI suggestions before relying on them; the model proposes, while deterministic app services own durable organizer state.

05

Backup and transfer

Before replacing the iPhone or uninstalling Dot, create an encrypted backup in Organize → Library & records → Backup & transfer. Save the recovery key separately from the backup and verify that both are available.

Readable JSON exports are unencrypted after leaving Dot. Store them only with a provider you trust. Never send a database, organizer export, recovery key, private prompt, or screenshot containing personal content to support.

06

Request support

Send a privacy-safe support request containing:

  • the Dot version and build from Settings → About;
  • the iPhone model and iOS version;
  • the feature and action that failed;
  • the exact content-free error code or health state;
  • whether relaunching reproduced the issue; and
  • steps using synthetic placeholders instead of private content.
